On Sunday night Andrew Wiggins landed in Philadelphia for an exclusive work out with the Sixers and a tour of Philadelphia. While this sounds like good news, it may be prudent to make any assumptions at this point. The way I see it, fans can look at this scenario in one of two ways:
Hinkie and the rest of the Sixers brain trust are just getting a look at Wiggins to assess his talent and try to gain notes on a valuable prospect which they have an outside chance of drafting.
or;
This is a sign that Hinkie will do anything and everything to snag the number one pick from the Cavs and make Wiggins the centerpiece for the Sixers which in turn will lead them to many NBA finals in the not so distant future.
However you see this playing out, the anticipation for the draft is certainly building up. Regardless of who the Sixers draft, they are almost guaranteed to grab a player who is talented and NBA-ready. But I think I speak for the fans when I say I really hope this trip to Philly from Wiggins means something.
