The Eagles have agreed to terms with their 5th round selection in this years draft, safety Ed Reynolds. With the 162nd overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft the Eagles took Reynolds out of Stanford, a player Philadelphia feels can help their current group of defensive backs. Reynolds was a third-team All-American selection in 2012 for his outstanding play. Ed Reynolds, whose father also played in the NFL, has great cover skills as well as an ability to read the quarterback. He also possesses great instincts and ball hawking abilities which can lead to many interception opportunities, something the Eagles' defense seemed to lack last year.
With this, the Eagles have agreed to terms with every selection of this years draft with the exception of two; 1st round pick Marcus Smith and 2nd round pick Jordan Matthews. Reynolds is expected to compete for a starting job at Safety and joins a crowded backfield with Nate Allen, Malcolm Jenkins, Keelan Johnson, Chris Maragos, and a pick from last year's draft Earl Wolff
